Great experience! The bartender was very knowledgeable of the beers and very friendly! Can’t go wrong with their beers on draft, especially The Cats Meow! Cool music playing in the background as well! Will be back!
While visiting Massachusetts, a group of friends and I wanted to check out some local breweries. Exhibit A is located just off a main road in an unassuming location. They put out an A-frame sign on a nearby corner that assured us we were heading the right direction! The beers here were delicious. Our group had varied tastes and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The large warehouse area was unfortunately closed for a private party most of the time we were there, creating a crowded indoor area. However, the bartenders were prompt and efficient, ensuring no one ever went thirsty. There is no kitchen at Exhibit A, but they have a regular schedule of food trucks in case you get hungry. As we were wrapping up, the warehouse space opened to the public. There were high top tables, a fun band playing, and even a bake sale for a local school! This is definitely a locals spot, as we could tell many people in the bar area knew each other. But they were all friendly to us out of towners and the beer was great!
We drove from Rhode Island to visit. We saw they were having Cousins Maine Lobster Food Truck for the day. Once here everyone was so nice. Ordering food was easy. They had a band playing when we first got there which made it hard to find a seat. Once the band finished we got a seat quickly. The band finished 10 min after we arrived. Kate who was serving the beer was so nice. She explained all the different beers to us which made it easy to chose our selections. They also serve food on site but we didn't try anything today. My husband and I did share a beer flight. You get to sample 4 beers for $12 which is average price for a flight. The beers we tried were The Cats Meow, Saturday, Educator, and Goody.
My wife and I drove two hours so we could visit Exhibit A brewing to sample some of their beer. We liked the beer we had tried from them and some of their glasses and T-shirts that had cats on them. When we arrived we found that they were only open for retail sales. The woman behind the counter couldn’t give us the time of day or answer any of our questions, and was extremely rude. Very disappointing. Having tried their beer, we were inclined to be big fans. Thankfully, there are hundreds of other breweries that probably treat their fans better. We will not be back. Since writing this review (maybe a little to soon after my disappointing visit), I have reconsidered my thoughts. I realized it it not fair to rate an entire brewery based on the actions of one bad actor. Therefore, I have increased my review from a one star to a three star. Heck, the reason we drove two hours in the first place was our appreciation of a well made beer. Second only to the quality of ones beer would be the quality of the relationship you build with your customers. It is clear from other reviews that they do, in fact, treat most of their customers well. I am just sorry I went on the wrong day.
