Highway 9 Pizza And Grill - Frankfort

My wife and I traveled a lot on business trip, and we recently passed a scenic way to wichita, ks, from omaha, ne and into this city. Never been there. during the trip we always try to locate each at local owners and avoid large chain restaurants and fast eating as much as possible. we stumbled here and were immediately greeted by the owner, a super-friendly and hard working dame, which immediately takes care of us very well. eating was just as we ordered it, was served quickly, and it was excellent. Even my wife was very satisfied, and she is very fast to make it known if something is wrong. can not recommend this location enough.

2 people working at the bar. 1 person in the kitchen. Place was full and people were waking out. Customers coming in stood at the door and waited, ended up leaving. We went over and cleared an empty table. I took the items up the the dirty dish cart and the Wicked Witch of the West came flying out of the kitchen. Screaming to DONT DO THAT, DONT DO THAT! I explained I was just trying to help and she told me it was not helping. I said we just wanted a place to sit and she said “Well, that’s not good, it’s just not good.” Ok, we left. There were 7 of us. We took our business elsewhere and will not ever be paying customers there again. A THANK YOU for cleaning your table would have been nice. Instead I left feeling insulted.

We went Saturday for a late lunch. Had one of the best bacon cheeseburgers that I had ever had. Will definitely be back.

Awesome place to eat. I stopped in there last Tuesday(1-25-2022) evening on my way home from Nebraska and enjoyed one of the best dang burgers I've ever had. So incredibly delicious ?

Delicious Pizza and drinks best around. Don't miss this excellent small town experience.
