ALEX Frankfurt Skyline Plaza

This place serves a pretty generic German/European menu, with a lot to pick from. We got flammenkuechen and currywurst. Both were fine, but nothing really all that special, nor unique to Frankfurt. They did have Apfelwein, which we got as it had been on to-do...list for Frankfurt. It is located in the top-level Foodtopia food court of the MyZeil mall, and pigeons were in the dining area.

ALEX is my favourite go-to spot for warm summer evenings, with it's spacious outdoor and indoor seating, blankets available for when the sun goes down, a vast array of food drink options on the menu, and friendly, helpful staff who make you feel welcome...to stay for a long as you wish. This bar restaurant accommodates large groups easily.

We had a few drinks and dinner here during one of the convention days we attended last April. As it was my first time in Frankfurt, I wanted to spend my time in places with good reviews. And ALEX was among them. Not a disappointment!...It was one of the best places I have been in Frankfurt, despite almost everyone I met at the convention saying that this is a boring city.
