Apfelwein Dax - Frankfurt am Main

We enjoyed the place very much! Great local food (be ready for big plates!) and beer for a reasonable price. Service was fast, the waiter spoke very good English. We sat outside in the backyard, which was very nice in the evening. There is also a big seating area inside, in case you want it a bit quieter. Very nice and clean restrooms.

Only advise: do not miss out this place when your are in Frankfurt am Main????????. It's very traditional, friendly and has a great atmosphere. Try the schnitzel and do not forget the Äppler????

The place has good apple wine (the local drink: Apfelwein), the staff is friendly, it is a few blocks away from the to-be-avoided pub district of Sachsenhausen. So far so good. Our food was really terrible, though: the kale (Grünkohl) was so overcooked, on could mistake it for spinach... A shame, really.

We went to Apfelwein Fax with a couple of friends. Unfortunatelly I ordered the wrong dish. The "Geschnätzeltes" was not selve made in my opinion. The Spätzle tasted and looked like the ones you can buy in the supermarket and the sauce lacked wine and tasted to much of flavor inhancer. The Schnitzel of my friend was great though. Next time i would order that.

This is the first restaurant we ate in in Frankfurt, and we couldn't have made a better choice. While it is not exactly in the tourist centre of town, it is not far away and not hard to find. The host was very friendly and welcoming, and the food was great. Thank you.
