Restaurante Galicia - Frankfurt

Galicia offers some very tasty Tapas, in a cosy, no-frills and traditional Spanish atmosphere. It is a pity that most of them come at a high price (at least 4-5 euros per Tapa) while portions are not massive.PROS- very good food! (try the octopus, ask for it not to be too salty though)- Cosy atmosphere, Spanish-run restaurant- Calm and nice location (Leipzigerstrasse)CONS- High price (16-20€ for 2-3 tapas and a beer)- Service; waiters not particularly friendly

Klein und fein ist das durchgänge Maß. Es ist einfach ein "Muss" hier reserviert und die kleinen (Tappas) und großen (Schmor- und Fischgerichte) der galizischen Küche genossen zu haben. Die ausgeschenkten, sowie Flaschenweine und der "Weiße Sangria" sind beste Speisenbegleiter. Die Bedienung ist mediterran gelassen flott. Dies gehört nun mal auch zu einem tollen Abend in einem klassischem Ambiente. Mann/Frau nehme einfach auch sich mal die Zeit für einen gelassenen schönen Abend. Wir haben es gemacht und waren rundum zufrieden.

This place looked so inviting and they easily accommodated us without a reservation on a Saturday night. However, we now wish they hadn't. Despite the friendly service, we both were very disappointed with our meals (including the pimentónes, a staple at every tapas spot, which lacked salt.) We ordered entrecôte, which was dry and grizzly and was most likely rump steak and the pulpo tapa. We have had pulpo many times in other places and this was actually inedible. When we mentioned that the pulpo tasted off and was either under cooked or not fresh the waiter's response was that people are just not accustomed to the texture. It is a shame to have to give this cozy, inviting spot such a low rating but this was one of the worst meals we've had in Frankfurt to date.

Nice , calm place to visit for a casual meal. You can sit outside on the sidewalk, kick back and observe life in this interesting Frankfurt neighborhood. Service was a bit slow but friendly. We were not hungry and did not eat much, a few tapas. The food and the wine were tasty, inexpensive.

Insbesondere die Fischgerichte finde ich hier sehr lecker. Dazu eine gemütliche Atmosphäre in dem relativ kleinen und gemütlichen lokal. Ideal für einen entspannten Abend
