Good food, nice atmosphere and great service. We actually dined at GlenPharmer for dinner and then hit it again for lunch the next day. For dinner, I started out with the grilled octopus. It was overcooked and very tough with a burnt flavor to it. I wouldn 't recommend it. The seared scallops, on the other hand, were exceptional. Beautifully plated and cooked to perfection...a five star dish. My wife also ordered the charcuterie board, which was very good and the portion size was more than generous. We each had several of their signature drinks which were spot on good. Overall, nice menu with some very nice meal options but a little on the pricey side for what you get. The next day, we swung by for lunch and was hoping for a lunch menu with some less expensive sandwich options. Unfortunately, the dinner menu was the same as the lunch menu. We were about to leave when our waitress told us what the specials were. Lobster roll was the special of the day; exactly what we were looking for and I am so glad we stayed. The lobster roll was up there with some of the best I 've had. Very generous portion size with very little mayo and a touch of lemon. It was a real winner! As for their booze...try the Bean Vodka. This vodka is coffee and vanilla infused. It was so good, I had to buy several bottles to take home. Aside from the octopus plate, everything was very good and the service was excellent both times. Enjoy!
I had no idea this place existed until I looked up distilleries in the area online. The service and drinks were top notch and the food was pretty good too. Even though it's a distillery it's very much a restaurant vibe as they don't have a private tasting room to my knowledge.
Really was looking forward to giving GlenPharmer a try, but walked away disappointed. The atmosphere is beautiful, service was attentive, food selection creative. Seemed to have all the makings of a great evening out, unfortunately all our dinners were served COLD Lobster Ravioli, Salmon, and 2 evening Pasta Specials. We were dining with another couple and I think no one wanted to be that person that spoke up and sent back a meal, but on the ride home it became clear no one really enjoyed their cold meal. There was a function going on upstairs that evening, so perhaps the kitchen was overwhelmed, but that hardly seems like a valid excuse. If you don 't have the staffing and capacity to handle a function and regular paying customers, then don 't try to do both at the same time. On a positive note the cocktails were unique and outstanding.
You can see where the money went in this pristinely renovated old factory near the off ramp in Franklin. Some of the spirits have won awards. There is a romantic old covered bridge and a huge event space upstairs. We had brunch on the patio with a tasty foraged mushroom frittata and margarita flatbread.. of like to go back to try dinner.
