Subway - Franklinton

During my most recent visit, I ordered the same sub I’ve been getting for the past eight years. Unfortunately, after the new menu release, my sub was no longer listed, but other Subway locations have made it for me without any issues before, simply charging me for the closest equivalent, which is the exact same price. However, at this location, the employee told me that wouldn’t be possible. When I asked why not, she claimed that I would be charged for extra meat, even though I was still ordering the same amount. She went on to explain that she was $3,000 short this week because employees were giving away free meat, resulting in cut hours, and that I would have to pay extra because she wasn’t going to be short again. I found her tone to be extremely unprofessional in front of customers. Because of this experience, I've decided I will never return to this Subway again! I hope they can find better management, so they won’t face a $3,000 shortfall in the future. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I discovered several hairs in the cookies and a few on the sandwich. Overall, the food was a 2, the service was a 3, and the atmosphere was also a 3.

I urge anyone considering dining here to be cautious. The owner uses expired, rancid, and translucent vegetables in meal preparation. Food is often prepared right next to cleaning supplies, left out without gloves for hours, making it susceptible to insects before it reaches customers. Additionally, the men's restroom is consistently clogged, and the bread cabinets have visible mold buildup. The coolers that store food have standing water and moldy items underneath, putting patrons at risk when food is served from there. Despite attempts to maintain cleanliness and manage food rotation, the owner still chooses to serve items that are months past their expiration date, replete with rotting vegetables that have been contaminated by leaks in the walk-in coolers.
