Located on Route 102 close to the turn off for Route 690.Diner, Museum, Crafts & Gifts, Full-service Campground.Lots of parking in large lot. Easy access.Open year-round, inside you will be dinning amongst MANY nik-naks & homemade items for sale as well as some neat collectibles. Some may call it cluttered or even messy but, I found it comfortable and warm. There was plenty of room to sit and eat and it was clean and welcoming. Staff was friendly and I was relaxed immediately. We talked business over lunch and it was a decent location for this. The portions were good, no skimping on ingredients and the food was tasty. I would call it home-style or even comfort food. Probably not the place to go if you're looking for 'health food'. Homemade pies were tempting but, we were so full!Non-licensed establishment.Very affordable prices. My only complaint was the somewhat greasy/smoke air. I don't know if this is a regular thing or if it was because their homemade fish & chips (which looked amazing by the way) were on special? We left there with a lingering smell of deep-fry.Regardless, I will be stopping in again.
We stopped for lunch on Friday, first time there. Lots of crafts and collectibles. The food was so good! Husband had the fish & chips I had the club, we both enjoyed our meal very much. The owner was preparing food at the next set of tables so we were able to have a great meal and great conversation. The prices were great, and you CAN pay by debit! We will definitely be back and will bring others with us! Thanks for the lovely experience.
The restaurant is currently under a boil order for water, but instead of providing customers with a glass of water from boiled and refrigerated water, they insist on selling overpriced bottles. This seems like a money-making tactic. The restaurant only accepts cash as their debit machine has been broken for months, which raises concerns. The restaurant has a strange odor upon entering, a mix of old grease and junk. The counter and tables are cluttered with items, making it hard to tell what is causing the smell. The owner's dog freely roams the restaurant when no one is around. The food quality is poor and greasy, not recommended unless you have no sense of taste. It's also advised to accompany small children to the bathroom as cleaning products are left on the floor.
We drive several kilometers for the excellent pie - Butterscotch, lemon, coconut cream. Melt in your mouth delicious. All meals are very good.
