We were a company of six and went for the 5 course set menu which turned out to be a great choice and at 400 dkk good value too. Every dish was a delight in itself, with a lot of variation. The wine list is really interesting, one of the owners is a prize winning sommelier. We tried three different ones and liked every one of them, and prices are low compared to other local restaurants. All in all a great evening, we will be back.
Great atmosphere and staff, felt really relaxed and welcomed. We had the set five course (maybe it was six) menu, it was really delightful and quite adventurous. Really liked the waffles in particular. Well done guys.
We went to this restaurant on a recommendation and it was one of the highlights of our trip. It 's located in Frederiksberg, just outside of the main city and a delightful walk, even in winter. When you happen upon it, you will be forgiven thinking you 've walked up to a corner French bistro because that 's exactly what it looks like. The menu options are seasonal and we opted for the family style which was five servings of (as the menu states) snacks, soup, pasta fish, offal meat something sweet too . For drinks we stuck with bubbly but please note, this is a serious wine connoisseurs restaurant. The cellar, we were made to understand, rivals that of even fine dining establishments in Paris. The menu on the website gives an indication of what to expect and they do stick to it but there were surprising dishes that were in place of what was being offered. Two dishes stood out for us pasta with bakskuld (the sweetest smoked fish) with fresh tagliatelle and a scallop ceviche (that tasted of succulent mango which was not one of the ingredients) and the latter was not on the menu. The servers took their time in explaining each dish while recommending a wine and refreshing waters. Honestly one of the best meals we 've ever had. We were stuffed by the time the tartlets with veal hearts arrived but managed to rouse ourselves for the dessert. I highly recommend the family style menu as you get to sample just about everything. What amazed us was the absolute efficiency of the staff. They even ask you in advance about allergies! It sits about 30 or so, at any given time and there were three servers total who managed to discuss, serve and clear within a reasonable amount of time to accommodate all the guests. Plan for a minimum of 2 hours so reservations are a must but if you 're feeling lucky, try a walk in and be patient. This restaurant though not serving typical danish fare does so with a bistro twist and captures seasonal flavors and makes you really engross yourself in good food and capture the essence of what Denmark 's palate is like.
The food, Sunday menu, was good, but nothing too special. The Bourgogne Blanc was excellent and went really well with the cod.
Great gem. How this place has gone my nose past so many years, I do not. Aller dishes were extremely well prepared with a deep and perfectly balanced taste. Nice relaxed staff and super cozy place. Definitely a favorite now. I am already happy to come again.
