Hemingway would have liked it here. Smokers Lounge and well-mixed drinks. At the moment only in the basement, the Caribbean conservatory behind the lobby is redesigned.

This bar is downstairs under the Victoria Hotel and therefore cave-like in its appearance and ambience. It is very atmospheric and warm.The two young men manning the bar are very professional and efficient. There is a separate smoking room but unfortunately the smell of smoke...invades the main bar which is then only down side.

Cool place, nearby the train station. They have a wide offer of drinks. The drinks look nice and the personnel is very kind.

Where there for a few drinks. The interior of the bar was nicely done, as were the cocktails. Busy, but not crowded, mixed crowd. The only minus was the sudden appearance of a blond lady (red scarf) behind the bar, who was either very bored...or in a very bad mood (or both). She talked with the staff for a while, until she eventually got a cocktail and left. If she was a staff member, she should have been more professional in her conduct. If she was not, she should not have been there at all. It was an unnecessary annoyance which could easily have been solved by a some thoughtfulness and a smile.

The menu is entertaining to read and the cocktails sound quite enticing, but all the three cocktails we ordered were rather disappointing, you couldn't taste distinctive flavours, what sounded on paper like a cocktail with interesting facets turned out to be just a generic fruity...cocktail. prices between and € per cocktail.
