Monkey Garden - Freiburg

Drawn into the area by the interesting shop, being diverted from our hunt for lunch. Heard chinking china, and saw the cozy looking cafe - bar, which was quite busy. Food on other people's tables looked good, so we grabbed the last table. So glad we did, food was simple, not too many choices, but that's usually a good sign. I had a pulled turkey sandwich, and my daughter had the beet pasta, which came with a salad. All very tasty and well presented. Our waitress was very helpful and cheery.The whole experience was greatThey also have an extensive cocktail menu. They do however only take cash.

Hatten einen tollen Abend mit gutem Gin. Das Ambiente ist sehr angenehem. Kann ich weiterempfehlen:-)

Grosse Gin-Auswahl, dazu gut abgestimmte, passende Tonics, schönes Ambiente und eine nette Bedienung. Was will man mehr.

Monkey Garden lijkt in eerste instantie meer een (gin-)bar maar het eten is zeker de moeite waard! Plof lekker neer op de gezellige picknick bankjes, heb wat geduld met de bediening (neem ondertussen gewoon een drankje!) Wij genoten van de schnitzel, mmm!

Great helpfull staff, with good knowledge. They listen to you and their recommendations, including gins not on the menu, are spot on. Nice area (high ceiling) but small. A bit hidden inside the markthallen, dont be afraid to open the door to monkey garden when the door is closed. Tried several different gins, patience is required but worth it in the end.
