I read the enthusiastic judgments and rest basic. It's definitely the worst place I ate in germany. the lady who serves at the tables is very kind, although she speaks very little English, but the quality of the food is really bad. the menu is very limited but, confiding in the usual excellent quality of the German meat, we oriented on what had to be a meatloaf (this means meatloaf as from menu in English language), but it turned out to be a slice with the taste of sausage on which a bue eye was rested and, next, fries. apart, a green salad and cucumbers that was the only edible thing together with beer. the environment is cozy with the bar counter and, in front, four or five tables. another coffee table is in a room next to the bathrooms. right prices. I'm sorry, but the rejection is unreserved.
Serving one of our favourite wheat beers on tap, Franziskaner. Initially popped in for some beers one night before heading to Shneiders next door, which may I add, is never as good!!Spaten was very traditional and friendly, ran by two women. The beer was delicious and so too did the food look. We got chatting to some locals and had a great, inexpensive evening. We decided that we liked it that much, we went back the following evening for a bite to eat. We were seated in a little private alcove which was lovely. The food was just what I imagine most households have each night, uncomplicated, delicious and made with love in fact, made by the woman who served us in the bar! Even better! If your looking for somewhere traditional, friendly and authentic this is where to go!!Thank you ladies!!
We stumbled upon this pub on our first walk to the Weihenstephan Brewery. We were in need of directions and the thought of a half liter to quench our thirst after walking from the town center to St. Maria's and around the many shops in the area. I felt at home in this bar and it reminds me of the good-old family bars in Wisconsin where family and friends meet daily to socialize. We didn't eat here but the older couple that I will assume are the proprietors where friendly and very helpful with directions. When we spend our last night in Germany next time we will certainly stop in to get a does of charm.
In this small, Bavarian local, regional delicacies are prepared by the charming chefin itself. it also supplies the guests with drinks and is helpful with excursion tips. we were thrilled and like to come back.
