Le 1971 Corner Cafe - Fréjus

Visited for lunch after a morning on the beach. It started well with quick service of drinks but then suddenly the 4 or so waiting staff seemed to reduce to 2 and the service went downhill. A very long wait for the food, the order...was incorrect not just on our table but lots of others. The guy on the table next to us complained he had been waiting 30 minutes for a coffee. The first two (of four) meals arrived, we told the waitress we didn't have cutlery. We then waited 5 minutes for the next two. Still no cutlery was brought and after another couple of minutes we went and got our own. I felt sorry for the male waiter who was taking the brunt of the complaints and clearly doing his best. On the contrary the female was a waste of time, every meal she brought out of the kitchen she took to the wrong table. Decent food, reasonably priced, but need to sort out staffing issues.

45 minutes after the order we received 2 drinks for our party of 7 and were just asked if we wait for something else just the rest of the drinks and an breakfast everyone! should have checked the previous reviews. before they come in!

The service was inept, the cake stale and the coffee untrunken. what a waste of a first-class location. to avoid.

We stopped for a small Snack in this bar. The waitress was friendly and fast. The meal was , as expected, a fast burger. So, overall, ok for a tiny little snack

During a two week stay I ate here a number of times, for breakfast and lunch/dinner. Food was always fresh and tasty, portion sizes generous, service friendly and efficient. Their espresso the best in the area. Amazing value.
