First of all, cueing up at the Freemantle markets is a bit crazy. There is not much room and people are in line or just wanting to get past. But food? Amazing! Chicken was so crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned and juicy on the inside. The chips that came with it was also excellent. Perhaps one of the best fried chicken I have tried here. 100% recommend Only thing about the markets are parking is so ****** expensive when I want to stay longer to look at more things and enjoy food without rushing

Popped into the markets over the weekend and couldn't go past Chimek without trying one of their burgers. I ordered the chicken burger after having a taste of their popcorn chicken. The chicken was juicy and delicious. Will definitely be trying their cheeseburger next time!

Ever since they opened an outlet in Northbridge, I find myself going to the Northbridge outlet more often now. There are a few Korean and burger stalls or restaurants popping up in the last 12 months and I think Chimek is still my favourite! Their must try menu from my recommendation is the Southern Fried Chicken, New York Hot Buffallo, Dak Gang Jeong (if you like sticky buffalo - I am not a huge fan to be honest but my friends seem to like this), Charcoal Beef Burger, Bulgogi Burger and Chilli Cheese Beer Battered Chips (they are so yummy!). I suggest to come in a group so you could try more of the fried chicken flavours and decide which one is for you. The Fremantle outlet seems to have a bit of a queue during lunch time so you might be better off going early or a little late. Otherwise, the Northbridge outlet can be your other option!

Had Chimek for the first time last weekend. Was so excited to spot the little takeaway at the Freo markets. So many delicious options but I settled for some Gochujang chicken. It was freaking good. Crunchy and sweet and a little salty/sour. We loved it. I was a little annoyed I agreed to share it and wanted to hoard it all to myself. Needless to say we would go back. Paid about extra 4 coins to get it boneless but that was a good move since we were on the run and eating somewhere else. Quick fast service and you can practice your Korean with the staff ????
