Pizza Bella Roma - Fremantle

In Fremantle last weekend for a mid-afternoon event we were searching for a quick, light lunch to fortify us for the festivities ahead, so on to South

Three of us were in search of some Italian food, and you don't need to look far on the South Tce strip in Freo to find it.

I've been eating at Pizza Bella Roma on and off for more than 25 yearsIt's changed hands a few times, altered it's menu and had lots staff.

Incredibly disappointing. The garlic bread was coated and toasted on only 1 side, the pizza was completely without flavour apart from the anchovies and tasted bland and rubbery, the spaghetti bolognese was devoid of taste and swimming in pasta water, the carbonara lacked any sense of flavouring, the lemon lime and bitters came from a bottle! Needless to say I was extremely unhappy. 1 bite of the mains and we decided to pay the bill and leave. When asked if I enjoyed the meal I replied 'maybe next time' ... to which the hostess said, 'great'. Guys.... listen to your patrons, be mindful of their plates and how much they have eaten or not, do not assume that everyone is happy and certainly do not trade on past glories. You are only as good as your last meal. It's the way the industry is unfortunately. I will come again another day and hopefully adjust my review. But it may be a while before that happens. I'm still a little miffed that we were invisible to all 3 staff members who served us. D-
