Restaurant Schlupfwinkel - Freudenstadt

I really enjoyed my time here. The food was delicious, the staff was super kind and the menu had enough options, but not so many that you get confused. Perfect restaurant in my opinion

Decent little place off the beaten path. Do stop by if you are in the neighborhood.

Wir waren zu zweit im Schlupfwinkel und waren mit dem Service und dem Essen sehr zufrieden. Sollten wir wiedermal in Freudenstadt sein, kommen wir gerne wieder.

We had a large group of people all wanting different dinners. The menu had many traditional Schwäbisch and Badisch dishes as well as excellent steaks. You can get steak cooked to perfection or cook it yourself on a hot stone--which was really fun and interesting. Everyone was jealous of those who got the hot stone. I had the Schwäbischer Zwiebelrostbraten with Spätzle and it was perfect. My partner had the Zander, which was also perfect and light, leaving room for their dessert specialties, homemade Windbeutel--which are fruit or ice cream filled cream puffs. I'd never really had anything like them, but they were the perfect end to a wonderful evening. Many in our group initially skipped dessert, only to be jealous and order their own Windbeutel! Service was prompt and friendly and handled our diverse group very well. Can't recommend this place enough.
