I found the continental breakfast quite disappointing, as it only consisted of generic Fruit Loops cereal and hard, oily muffins that were difficult to eat. The milk was decent, and the coffee was passable. Their website claims to offer daily housekeeping, but this turned out to be untrue. I stayed in room 112 for three nights, and housekeeping never came to clean. I had to take the two small trash bins outside to empty them myself. One of the lamps in the room had a bent push-button switch, making it necessary for me to unplug it at night. Additionally, the shower's water pressure was very low, and the beds were uncomfortably stiff.
This place is by far the least professional establishment I've ever attempted to stay at. The staff is never present in the office, and when they do answer the phone, it's in an incredibly unprofessional manner—this should have been my first warning sign, and I take responsibility for not heeding it. They take your reservation and credit card information as usual. After a 4-hour drive on a holiday weekend, I arrived only to be told by the same person who seems to run everything at this awful motel that there was no reservation under my name. Naturally, they were fully booked. Make reservations at your own risk; I certainly wouldn’t trust them again. Good luck if you decide to, as who knows what else is happening behind the scenes. Absolutely terrible! I’d give it 0 stars if I could!
I was quoted 51 plus tax for the stay. When I arrived it was 75 plus tax. The vending machine had very old and melted candy in it. The bed was the most uncomfortable in my life! The only saving grace to this motel was the restaurant that is attachedcalled Antonio?s. The ?continental? breakfast was an urn of nasty coffee and 2 things of cold cereal. I was super excited tostay until I got there to check in.
The fish is great. Jane is the waitress you will want. I am happy to say that the coleslaw is getting much better. Friday night fishfry is a Wisconsin tradision and Inn of the Pines is the place to go.
