Feedback gevenTo the owner: I checked your online menu, and I found no mention of the gratuity policy. Please take another look. Kid-friendliness: I was pleasantly surprised by the kid's menu; it was quite good!
Had dinner with a friend ,got a bill plus an extra service charge that I was not informed about,service and food was good but you don't force customers to pay you a tip,or put a sign that says you charge service charge and i would have been absolutely fine with
Gidi Bar Grill is a nice chill spot for a friends night out or date night. It's a good place for African cuisine. I had the Asun Jollof entree and it was so good! Everything was very flavorful and seasoned to perfection. I do want to give a warning that this meal is SPICY. If you are not into a lot of spice, do not get it. The food was reasonably priced. The drinks (not pictured) are a bit pricey.

If you're like me, sometimes you just crave different flavors. Well, Gidi Bar Grill has plenty of unique flavors, but still many traditional ones if not everyone in your group is as adventuresome. Here you'll find a mix of Nigerian and West African flavors with some more traditional American fare.I was there for something different, so I dove right in with the Gidi Suya Platter. which includes Suya Beef Chunks, Shrimp, Chicken Wings and Fried Plantain. The suya seasoning on the meat is a dry rub made up of Peanut Powder, Smoked Paprika and White Pepper, among others I'm sure. All were very good and very unique in flavor, but the Chicken Wings were NEXT LEVEL! I see why they boast about having the best Wings in Frisco!For my Entree, I chose the Asun Jollof. Asun is chunks of Goat Meat with Peppers and Onions and Jollof is a Nigerian Rice dish that is smokey and complex in flavor. These are served along with Grilled Vegetables.Of course, Goat Meat is a little fatty, but the seasoning removed all gaminess and mineral taste that I'm accustomed to in Goat. The large portion of Jollof is delicious, with a dry texture yet not dried out. I can see why it's so popular.Friday and Saturday nights, Gidi has live entertainment occasionally by reservation, but the full menu is always available. Next time you want something different or if you just want some great food I encourage you to try Gidi.
