First we walked in and A/C was leaking into a large bowl. The young man taking orders seemed to be the only one sober. We ordered water and 2 texas rangers. My youngest son got a grilled cheese and french fries. My wife a mushroom swiss burger and tots. First the brisket was dry and way over done. We also got an order onion rings which were great value from Walmart fried in brown grease. My 8 year old could not even eat his grilled cheese or french fries it was so greasy. My wifes burger was still completely raw and great value tater tots were cooked in same brown oil. Worst $40 I ever spent. Definitely will not be back. I would have rather had a quick burrito from up the road.
If I could give negative stars, I would! I can’t believe how many reviews talk about the “homemade” items! The slaw, (bag of coleslaw you get in the produce section and a cheap bottle of slaw dressing) the onion rings (from Ben-E-Kieth) , the potato salad (Ben E Kieth) the BBQ sauce (head country from any grocery store) every last bit is NOT Homemade as he claims, they are all store bought! Still don’t recommend this place, it’s filthy! The kitchen is atrocious! The smoker is disgusting looking and rarely ever cleaned. Your pork or brisket could be left overs from the weekend before or even the weekend before that, just sitting in the warmer the whole time. The meat isn’t tended to in the smoker. It’s put in there and just left for hours until the time to take it out. Never sprayed throughout the process but sprayed with apple cider vinegar when it comes out. The prep table out back where he gets the meats ready to go in the smoker, is caked with dirt and seasoning. The owner is a liar! People had came in and asked if he has any ribs and his response is Oh we JUST sold out, they went fast this round.he didn’t even make any because there were no funds to buy them! He owes several of his employees for their wages. He had Benny (everyone’s favorite Benny) help to raise funds to train a service dog for my son. He stole the almost $800 that was raised. He has an alcohol problem (don’t believe me, look up Hutchinson County Mug Shots on Facebook and you’ll see soo many mugshots) so we assume that’s where the money went. The owner is NOT a nice or good person. He brags that he can manipulate the best of them. The “charm” he uses with people is completely fake. He claims business is doing good, it’s not. The doors are barely open I won’t support a thief that steals from a child with special needs. A person that doesn’t pay his employees. Someone who pays under the table to avoid taxes. Someone’s alcohol problem. Parking: The parking lot is in bad condition Wheelchair accessibility: This place does not have Wheelchair accessibility. To take a wheelchair across the parking lot would actually be very difficult and dangerous. This parking lot is not in good condition with so many holes and rocks. There is a small wooden ramp that is at the entrance but the ramp is in such bad shape and seems rotted. The doorway into the restaurant is very narrow and would make it difficult to get a wheelchair inside the building.
