Soul Mountain Restaurant Bar

We enjoyed the crab and artichoke dip—it was delicious! We also ordered the shrimp and the grilled shrimp basket. Given the price we paid, I would have liked to see a few more shrimp in the basket, but everything we tried was flavorful. The service was good, and I have no complaints. I would definitely return, and they offer kid-friendly options as well.

I would rate them 4.5 stars. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was mostly tender and generously coated in buffalo sauce. The portion size was quite satisfying. My friend had the pulled pork mac and cheese, which was tasty but a bit smaller than we anticipated. I attempted to order a beer, but it was out of stock, or perhaps the menu simply hadn't been updated—I'm not sure. The establishment was well-maintained and clean.

We ordered a variety of dishes for our group of seven, including Jambalaya, Cajun Fried Wels, Cajun shrimp and chicken stew over rice, blackened fish over pasta, and a Brisket Burger. Everything was delicious, with the Jambalaya and blackened fish standing out as the group's favorites. The combination of fantastic food and excellent service made our experience truly memorable. They also offer a great selection of beverages!

Nice little spot to eat a good bite. I came here in low season and Howard the server was very welcoming. I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich and one side potato salad. The chicken was good, but living in NOLA, I thought it needed a little more kick, and a little more spicy Mayo. The potato salad was very good The service was fast and fresh, and if I had come on season, I would have been sitting at the bar for a few drinks. The atmosphere will definitely introduce you, the murals around are cool. Nice little place. I'm back in summer.

Accidentally stopped here when we got gas next door on our way to Pittsburgh. Friendly, inviting once you enter. Staff was cordial and efficient. There were many items on the menu I would have loved to try but opted for basics. Pulled pork and in house made black bean burgers. They were so good that we stopped again on our way back to Charlottesville. Wish the place was closer to home. We loved it!
