The sushi was maybe a little better than a grocery store, and the kids hibachi was ok but came out on a hot skillet. Who serves a kids meal on a hot skillet? Very weird decision. My 6 year old actually got a light burn on her arm. Anyway, I don't think it's worth going back. The staff were very nice but clearly the business has some kinks to work out.
Everything was amazing, and please, I don't say that lightly, as I'm pretty picky and have had great sushi from the big cities (sometimes it's a curse because I would love to be easier to please). It's been a few years since we've been here, and OMG, are we so glad we tried them again tonight. The owner makes the kimchi from her own garden from a very old family recipe, and it's *fantastic*! The sushi was super fresh and so so good! Our son had the beef teriyaki, which was simply incredible. The miso soup?! Spectacular!
We had lunch here on the way back from a trip to Shenandoah. The sushi was great as was the chicken curry my sister ordered! Would stop by here again next time I’m in the area. Dietary restrictions: My mother has a sensitive stomach and really enjoyed their Sansai Shirataki soup.
Some of the best sushi you will find in Virginia. Great service and never crowded. Very nice atmosphere. Spacious for a large group. Great choices and everything is prepared with quality and flavor. Plenty of parking next to the building. Parking: If you don't find a space on Chester there are plenty of spaces reserved for the restaurant on the left side of the building.
This place is a hidden gem. Just happened to be in the area and was suggested here. Place did not disappoint and food was amazing. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
