A beautiful room with an industrial/medium look. It is a restaurant with a cocktail bar, serve yourself a brewing room and a beer machine. The food is varied, well prepared and delicious. The only frustration was the soda machine. The carbonation function is set so high that I stopped after a few minutes and waited to fill my cup in time, throw it off and instead drank water.
We've been going to Tranquil Tea since it was opened 7 years ago. At this time I liked the place because it was a good alternative to Starbucks and it offered a place for people to have a relaxed conversation about a cup of tea and delicious lavender scenes. I also liked the fact that the brother-sister team that opened the place where always accessible in the shop, their recommendations on teas and mixtures available. Quickly until 2018 and the place looks like he was ageing fast. The padded seats on the walls look down and worn out and the tables are scarf. The availability of teas on the menu is a hit or miss, as it seems that they don't have their inventory as fast as before. The owners are usually no longer there and open, it is hard to connect a personal connection to servers that come and go. And the clientele now strongly leans to Cal State students who are best self-absorbed when reviewing emails and/or texting. The saving grace for Tranquil Tea is her food, especially the Lavenderschon; Sandwiches and whatever their soup is for the day. When I'm in the area, lunch in the Tranquil Tea is always a good value. Unlike when it was new, food is the only reason I come here now.
I sat here with a bunch of ladies for tea and fragrances. What a rustic shop with an extensive tea menu. You can have any tea hot or cold, choose black, green or red tea, and order lunch or scones. We chose a bunch of cold green teas plus a red Roibos tea. All were excellent. Our sweets consisted of all 3 Scones plus a blueberry cake. My favorite was the chocolate chip bananas peanut butter Scone. Your favorite sale is the white chocolate lavender, but I found it a little bit to ear gray tasting. The peach son. Service was excellent--server very helpful with questions we had in the menu and the staff didn't throw us out at all. Would definitely return.
This is a calm, clean space, perfect for enjoying a cup of tea. The menu goes on for pages, but the server was extremely helpful. Unlike a chain, you can sit at a table and order your tea and relax. It's not a quick, cheap cup of tea, but you get a lot and it's high quality. The green tea coconut Thirst Quencher was excellent. They also serve scones and sandwiches, but we just went for the tea.
