New City View Diner - Fullerton

4.1 stars? I 'm currently at this dinner. I ordered a medium well 10 ounce? New York strip steak with scrambled eggs and cheese. The steak was tough and over cooked. The home fries were burnt and mushy. The butter on the toast had no flavor. My server offered to take it back and have another made but I know better than to do that. The only thing I ate was the eggs. I 'm so disappointed. I came here because my vehicle is being serviced across the street. The girl at the register asked How was your meal ? I told her all she said was I 'm sorry . $27.00 down the drain, not including the $10.00 tip I left my server. I will not come back in here anymore.

Really nice place. It's been here since I'm a kid, always good food no matter what you order.

Service was extremely poor. I ordered chipped beef with 3 eggs on top and only got 1 egg.Also ordered a side of scrapple which was not delivered.The waitress (Kate) walked by asking if everything was okay never slowing to hear the answer. My response was NO . She kept walking and I had to yell NO again at which time she returned. I explained that I had ordered a side of scrapple. She replied OK , walked off, delivered the scrapple and left. No apologies.

This place has horrible food. And horrible service. I would recommend it to no one.

Saturday, April 20th, I ordered a cup of soup and a turkey club. My club was servedto me and after 1 bite, I noticed there was no turkey. Our server returned my club to the cook and when it came back, 1 piece of turkey was stuffed in all 4 sections. The presentation of City's club was terrible. It look like it was retrieved from the dumpster. Our server informed us that the cook was new. That doesn't excuse the appearance of the food looking like garbage.Management should hire better cooks who not only can cook but present their dishes to customers showing their skills.I did speak to the cashier and showed her how my club looked. She apologized to me for the inconvenience however, my bill wasn't modified.Also, young people need to keep their eye on their respective customers instead of chatting at the counter. I had to get up and ask for my check. Both servers went back to service after that.I have a picture of the 2 remaining pieces I took home. Unfortunately, I cannot attach that picture to this review.As I side note, my sister's turkey wrap had aloil instead of plain mayo. She said she was hungry so she dealt with it.We frequent City View and never encountered a situation like this.VERY DISAPPOINTING ?!
