What a charming and surprisingly great restaurant and room! The charcuterie was a good part and also variety, the vegetables could have been a bit firmer and less soggy (but when preparing for large quantities) but easily made with the taste. The meat balls are certainly the pièce de résistance. They were a beautiful mix of meat, perfectly cooked nuts and spices. Not sure if people come here because of the video of Alex French guy cooking, but I did and found it just as great to be. Will return to try the rest of the menu. P.S. they carry a full bar of liberations and we are even able to get my favorite drink The Last Word .. delicious delicious!
Extremely kind staff, very tasty Italian clasics, and cute backyard for dining during an early weekend dinner time. The classics were better than expected, and portions are moderate, the only gripe is the single bathroom is unisex. Definitely a nicer date spot, or special occassion outing spot for small groups.
I’ve been to Frankie’s a handful of times, and it’s always very consistent. The food is on the expensive side, but it’s solid (stick to the pastas if a waiter recommends a special, go for it). The drinks are good— I generally favor the Lambrusco, but their martini with a dollop of olive oil is dangerously smooth and tasty. The waitstaff can be hit or miss— some of the employees are super friendly and helpful, others are much more aloof. Overall, Frankie’s is a good Italian spot on Court street
When we were in NYC this past weekend we gave Frankie’s 457 a try. Our reservation got mixed up through no fault of their own, but they pleasantly accommodated three of us anyway. We were seated in the far back garden which was a quiet and pleasant atmosphere which we thoroughly enjoyed. I felt the menu was somewhat limited and the chicken parmigiana was good, not great. I also think the waiter was a little indifferent as he forgot my drink and had to be reminded. Located in a nice neighborhood with a lot of other shops and was good for walking around.
