I ordered the caramel frappe thinking it was a coffee based drink but I tasted neither coffee or caramel. Even the caramel drizzle was lacking in flavor. The drink tasted like a vanilla milkshake my least favorite ever. I stopped drinking after about halfway as it was not what I needed after my long hair appointment. I also bought a slice the lemon berry marscapone cake based on how it looked and it only had a slice or two removed so I thought it would be the freshest. The cake was very crumbly and could not really enjoy a nice moist fork of sponge and berry. The cream was just ok. At $8.95 a slice it is a hard pass. Perhaps the other cakes would be more to my liking but they are severely overpriced. $5.95 per slice tops and I would have bought two. The cheapest item was an everything bagel priced at $2.50 which is fair. It was very good and whether or not they bake it or it is brought in it was very good to eat the next day with a hazelnut divinity COFFEE frappe from my usual spot. I toasted it and used real butter and the texture and flavor was very good. I felt better about my almost $19 purchase. I felt it was so overpriced that I did not tip which is something I always do. I felt bad about that because the young ladies were terrific and treated me as so special. I would return for that reason alone. I love the concept but I don't know how a family of small children could afford to come there more then once in a while. Reduce the prices, create a loyalty card, offer children's specials and it will be a traditional gathering spot on the weekends. For a beautiful Saturday afternoon it was weirdly empty.
Love their coffee. Iced lattes are so flavorful. I’ve had some of their pastries and croissant sandwiches and they’re very good if you want to splurge. But they can indeed be a bit too decadent for me.
Excellent coffee and bakery. The southern charm breakfast sandwich is delicious and they have my favorite non-Starbucks coffee in the area.
Wanted to like it, as this place is pretty highly recommended and has won awards, but what I tried was underwhelming it did not taste bad, but it didn't taste like an award either. I got the brownie ala mode with vanilla gelato I would have tried a sandwich but was told sandwiches are only served between specific hours, so that was not an option at the time I visited. The brownie tasted good, but it was more cake like than brownie to me and the gelato was a touch icy, not the creaminess you want from gelato. Would I visit again and try other things? Perhaps. Would I make a special trip to do so? No. If/when in that area again, maybe I'll see what else might be good there.
Stumbled upon this place while working the other day. I must say I had difficulty deciding what I wanted to get. Everything looked amazing!Went ahead with a coconut bar. Not many places have coconut options, and everything was thick and chunky.Topped it off with a fresh brewed raspberry tea.
