Snack Alto Monte - Funchal

Fabulous eating easy, but incredibly delicious. the octopus sandwich was marinated and beautifully soft in crusty brot and the chips/frries accompanying the shibfish were crispy, without being oily and had a delicious scatter of crumbs. the menu is very short, but everything we ordered was great and efficient.

Service shocking. Had to eventually go inside and guy was on phone sitting in the back. Later on realized the waitress was sitting at a table eating and not concerned. Not worth a visit when up at Monte

We had soup, bolo do caco, some fries and freshly made juice. Nothing fancy but nice for a quick bite.

During our visit to Monte, we gave a short break there. We drunk two glasses of prosecco which was satisfactory. The from "Alto Monte was wonderful.
