During one of these walks, we stumbled upon a charming tea room on the main shopping street. At first, we were surprised to see people enjoying their meals outside on the pavement. However, upon closer inspection, we found a staircase leading to an upper department where the tea room was situated. The tea room offered excellent quality and affordable meals and snacks. During our recent visit, one of the servers, a lady with a North English accent, immediately recognized us and warmly welcomed us back. The variety and quality of the food, as well as the personal touch of the service, truly impressed us. We look forward to returning during our future visits to St. Annes.
The service was excellent and the soup/sandwich meal was delicious. Many customers seemed to really enjoy the corn-rib hat. The quirky old building had a lot of charm, but it's worth noting that there are stairs that some in our group had difficulty with. My only suggestion would be to consider offering a dog-friendly option, as many people in Lytham enjoy dining with their furry friends at lunchtime.
I made a reservation and specifically requested a window seat at this restaurant in Southport. We enjoyed a delicious homemade soup, a variety of sandwiches, and scones with cream and jam. There were three different types of scones - plain, cherry, and coconut-cinnamon, as well as ginger scones. We tried a bit of each to taste them all. The food was freshly made, served on beautiful porcelain dishes, and they even provided extra hot water for our tea without us having to ask. The atmosphere was more casual than a formal tea room, but it was comfortable and provided a great view to watch the world go by.
Today and both man and I really enjoyed the conjured bark bunny with red cabbage. it was really good with cheese on the top that was nicely cooked. a beautiful meal and cup tea. highly recommended.
The service was prompt and the tea brewed nicely. Staff were very helpful and friendly. It was good to sit outside in the sunshine. A reasonable menu.
