Helix Bar & Dining - Fyshwick

Helix is the bar / restaurant at The Vibe hotel at Canberra airport. For an airport hotel it well exceeded my expectations in terms of quality of food, service and overall dinning experience.Food selection is typically Aussie with a good selection of meat dishes and typical accompaniments. During our recent stay we had breakfast 2 days and 1 dinner. There was a lot of variety for breakfast and the staff were constantly refilling the food stations. The coffee was great and the staff were very attentive. The dinner was also lovely. We had the steak and chicken which were both cooked perfectly. The night staff were very friendly and worked quickly and efficiently. Looking forward to a return visit to this fine establishment. Well done.

Stayed at the Vibe recently and we were tossing up between Helix, or some of the restaurants over at Kingston foreshore... I read tripadvisor reviews of Helix before we went, and heard a few negative reviews of staff and service. We found the service very good, plenty of staff. Our orders for drinks, entrees, mains desserts were timely taken.The restaurant was quiet that night. They have some nice wines. Devils Staircase Pinot Noir was lovely.Food was very good, my wife very happy with the creme brulee..i'd eat here again if staying at the vibe..
