Civico 21 - GAETA

I went in with my daughter (5 years) running that she had to go to the bathroom, anticipating a group of 10 people. The owner replied that it was not a public service and denied the bathroom to my daughter. We went to one of the bars a few ten meters ahead and after having solved the need of the child we stopped for an aperitif.

Bistrot in the heart of Medieval Gaeta. Poor offer and poorly presented. Drinks to see. Non-activating location. Ridiculous account, you understand the 32 cents of the table service.

I came to this restaurant with my daughter and my wife on summer holidays. We sat in some tables outside, then a waiter didn't look very smart to ask what we wanted to order. My daughter ordered a glass of natural water (he scandalized so much that he remained firm for a minute looking at us so bad) , my wife a glass of sparkling water while I a bottled beer. When the waiter came back we noticed that the water glasses were very small and so my wife thought to ask for a bottle of water, but while she spoke the waiter was already leaving. I assumed it was a little sleepy, but according to my daughter and my wife it was only very rude. Be careful because you could spend a terrible day eating there.

We stopped in this bar to shelter us from the rain and consumed normal drinks therefore I will not be able to give a judgment on the quality of food, but I can review instead the maleducation of the staff. My mother before leaving wanted to go to the bathroom, since she is claustrophobic never closes the door to key and therefore she always asks me to go with her so that she can check that nobody comes in. The waiters refused to get me up (the bathroom is upstairs) despite I explained the problem to them, claiming that in the bathroom you go up one at a time. Not having a minimum of human understanding is truly shameful. (I emphasize that it is not sensible that the waiters have prevented me from going up because of the covid since my mother and I are joined together and we live together therefore no law imposes the meter away).

A nice food drink. Staff available and courteous. Excellent quality of dishes and adequate price. Good alternative to pizza not always available for lunch.
