The Barn At Rocky Fork Creek - Gahanna

We had reservations at The Barn for our 50th wedding anniversary. Our server, Phillip, was awesome!!! He made our special day even more special. We both had New York Strip steaks and they were cooked perfectly. Mine was medium and my hubby ordered medium rare. Along with the steaks we had backed potatoes and a free dessert of peanut butter pie and cheesecake. Everything was excellent!!!! Also, Phillip surprised us with two glasses of champagne ?

Excellent location for someone with Celiac. The waiter was extremely kind and knowledgeable about me needing to be gluten free, all of the food that came out for me had an allergen flag in it, and the chef was able to walk me around the buffet to let me know what was and was not safe. They are able to make some of the the offerings on the buffet as gluten free in the kitchen, which was great. Overall very happy with my meal!

My wife and I have been to The Barn twice and love it! The food is delicious and the staff are professional, kind and attentive. It’s becoming one of our go to spots for special occasions!

Thought we had a bit of a miss last night which is unusual for CM. I made a reservation indicating it was for an anniversary dinner (2 couples celebrating 43 years each! I was disappointed that We were seated in the bar area, which I feel is more casual than eating in the dining room and noisier . We should have asked to be moved but I guess I was taken by surprise when they led us into the bar. The food was very good as usual however the service was very slow. Thankfully, we weren't in a hurry so an almost 3 hour dinner was fine. I asked the waiter what came with the scallops and he told me it came with a salad, when in fact it came with some kind of steamed vegetables. I thought afterwards that there are usually specials each evening but we weren't told of any. Overall, the dinner was fine but not as special as we had hoped for considering it was for an anniversary.

It's a lovely place. The staff is kind and helpful. The food is good. It was a nice way to spend my husband's birthday.
