Feedback gevenIt isn 't often that something graces my palate to the point of me wanting me to write a raving review on something I ate, but that all changed when I had lunch at the Brass Cannon. I was in the DC metropolitan area for a recent business trip when my colleagues and I agreed to call it an evening and head out for dinner. We had been traveling for a few days and were always pressed for time so our choices were always something easy and quick like a chain restaurant, buttonight we had time to kill and wanted a change of pace. We came across the Brass Cannon on a quick Google search. We noticed it was located on a golf course so we were hesitant at first but a local had overheard us discussing it and hadsaid to us, Yo! That Brass Cannon joint is dope AF! It was enough to convince us to give it a whirl. We arrived to the clubhouse where we were greeted with great hospitality. The manager Gregory was very welcoming and ensured us that thedrinks and food were excellent and we would not be disappointed. He sat us and had the waitress come over and take our order. The drinks were fantastic and the bar was well stocked with a variety of liquors, but the drink menu was all thatwe needed. Their house drinks were all very good and we were all greatly satisfied. I ordered the double smoked pork chop. It was one of the best things I have eaten. It was cooked to perfection and packed full of flavor. It was served witha bed of southern style collard greens and a maple bourbon glaze. They complimented eachother like an orchestra performing a beethoven symphony in my mouth. For dessert I indulged and got myself the bread pudding which I have to admit wasdifficult not to go to the back and kiss the chef on the mouth. It would have been very easy to engorge myself and spend the rest of my life eating this dessert. Overall, I would have to say that the service and food deserve more than 5stars. Wonderful place to kill an afternoon. Amazing view over the lake and golf course. Lots of regulars from the community. The ahi tuna nachos are ridiculous!!! Seriously they?re so addicting. I order them with extra ahi tuna. Very laid back environment with friendly patrons and hosts. So glad I found this place.
We had an awesome dinner tonight! The food and service were absolutely first rate! Chef Sandy brings it every single time! My husband had the rockfish special and I had the filet- both were cooked to perfection.
