Actually, a 3.5, and we were in the bistro next to the pub. Pre-pandemic, the bistro food was simple and very tasty. Not so much now. An empty dining room. Even if it was a Tuesday... I had Shepherd's Pie, just missing something. My wife had a shrimp paste dress. She brought remnants home to regain. Desserts were spectacular here. Not so much now. Unfinished promise. Too many abbreviations, it seems. My red velvet cake was overwhelming. Unfortunately, the bistro is not what she used to be.

I really liked this place. Our server was the only staff in the house when we came, but nevertheless the service was prompt and attentive. The drinks were delicious and the fish chips were delicious. Would definitely recommend.
