Humitos Grill - Gaithersburg

We pre-ordered our food for pick-up and were told it would be ready in 15 minutes. However, it actually took an hour. While we waited, the music was uncomfortably loud, even though we usually enjoy live music. We ordered two orders of chicken kabobs, falafel, and lentil soup. Unfortunately, the chicken was very dry and burnt, with no flavor. It was so bad that even my 14-year-old, who loves chicken kabobs, wouldn't eat it. The wooden skewer in the middle was overcooked and difficult to eat. The lentil soup was mostly broth with hardly any lentils. The rice that came with the kabob platter was dry and bland. If I could give them a zero rating, I would. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

I have been a patron of this restaurant for two years and the food always exceeds expectations! The response to the negative review is why I will continue to dine here. Your habit of leaving critical reviews for nearby businesses is cringeworthy.

I wish I could give this restaurant zero stars. The service was poor, the atmosphere was lackluster, and the food was incredibly disappointing. I do not recommend dining here at all.

We went on a Tuesday around 6 PM and we were the only ones sitting at a table. The food was decent but not fantastic. They were out of lamb. The server spent all of her time talking to the few people at the bar very loudly and took a long time to bring us the check or give me more water when asked. It was pretty pricey as well. We will not return.

So my wife orders takeout and pays for it through their website. I show up 20 minutes later and the doors are locked and four scantily clad women are standing outside. They tell me the restaurant is not open yet. I look in, the place is dark. I wait in my car a couple of minutes, then go home. My wife calls the number listed on their website and some guy answers. She gives him the order number and he says it will be ready in half an hour. I tell her to cancel the order.Only in Montgomery County!
