Really great food, especially at the price. Here are the basics: The buffet extends in the price (depending on day or week and time of day) from $11.95-14.95, and every penny is worth it. If you give me a moment, I'll try to tell you why and try to make it quick. The food is excellent for these prices. I paid twice the cost for it and had easy sushi, that was not so good. The chefs in the sushi chalet use fresh ingredients, have a great spread (also for the lunch that is strange in sushi buffets) and take the time and effort to cover each dish of available sushi with plastic pack to ensure that they stay clean and fresh. The hot bar is just as good. Your miso soup is a kind of make you yourself in which you can choose how much of any ingredient you like, This was fantastic for me as I love the tofu, and I could as much as I like in. One last note on the food portion: the roasted apple bite things are amazing and held me well twenty seconds ago for happiness. They were fantastic, and I'd go if only they were eating. For those who are equally important to customer service and attention, this place is also great. The owners, employees and chefs are all pleasant and really interested in making our stay in their restaurant as pleasant as possible. Every time I got up to get a new record from the sushi bar, my old one was immediately thrown away without mine seeing that they clean the table. When I needed extra water after eating a particularly spicy roll, I put my glass on the edge of the table, and within 10 seconds my waitress was there to fill it. I know you're probably thinking that I'm living the truth about some of them, but they're totally right, and the last time I was in there, it was just my table. In my opinion, this place is above the 50% mark when it comes to sushi in general. When it comes to cheap sushi, which is also good, it would rate over 80%. The fact that it is available as unlimited, all you can eat buffet makes it easy to go in my 95% and reach to sushi places. I live in Cockeysville and like to take the hours to eat here. I would recommend this to anyone who can appreciate or long good quality compared to low price.
Is it the best sushi I had? Absolutely not. But for the cost, this place is great! You have a regular menu with sushi and other foods. The star of this place is the buffet. It is a very decent price for everything you can eat decent sushi. You cannot complain that it is not award-winning because it is so worth the cost and is a buffet with a beautiful variety and everything you can eat! You also have a wide selection of a regular sushi menu that you can pay for the piece or roll if you want to try something. If you like sushi, how good offers and a great appetite, I definitely recommend the sushi chalet.
That's the best sushi I had. By D.C., my wife and I decided to stop here. The sushi is delicious, not what you would find on other cheap buffets. The ingredients were also really healthy I discovered fresh ripe avocado in at least 3 different species, and the whole grain sushi was also great. My favorite was the caterpillar sushi. They seem to go beyond and beyond what other sushi shops do. Recommended.
My co-workers and I visit Sushi Chalet at least once a month. They have a buffet every day with a fairly large variety of sushi and they continue to make it all day, so it's always fresh. They have a nice hot bar and salad bar as well, but honestly I usually stick to the sushi. You can get a plate to go as well (paid by the pound) and pick you're own selection from the buffet.
