Despite only having 20 minutes, the service was efficient and the food arrived promptly. I was initially concerned about timing, but the staff ensured my meal was prepared quickly. The food was delicious and I was impressed by the variety of hot sauce, sorbet, and gelato available for purchase. Roxanne, the lady in charge, always comes through with great service.
Needed a quick bite to eat before heading out on the ferry, the service was poor and the staff were incredibly rude. No gloves on the worker handling cash and food, grabbing cutlery with his bare hands and by the eating end!!!! While waiting for our food someone ordered a cookie and the server dropped it on the ground and didn’t offer another one, he told him to eat the one from the ground. Super gross and unapologetic. Would not recommend this establishment.
The restaurant prepared 10 meals for the BC Ferries crew and we all gave it a 5-star rating. We will definitely order from Max Moritz again. Thank you from the BC Ferries team for your approval.
We shuffled about waiting for the ferry at Sturdies Bay when the red food truck opened. It serves Indonesian and German themes. Now, this was an unusual combo so I asked the nice lady what's up. She'd been here 24 years with her German partner and made it work. We took home a bottle of Max Moritz sauce and tried it. So good!
Do not visit this restaurant. Starting with the loud and disrespectful man, the experience was unpleasant from the beginning. They only accept cash, which is not a problem, but the way it was handled was rude. This is not the atmosphere you expect on Galiano Island. The quality of the food was poor, the staff was arrogant, and the place was not clean. We decided not to eat there. The whole ordering process was so stressful that I ended up taking my money back and leaving. I have never done that before. Normally, I love visiting food trucks where people enjoy their work and life. Unfortunately, this was not the case here.
