TW Howell's encapsulates the quintessence of a local, family-owned breakfast luncheonette, consistently surpassing the expectations one might harbor for such a modest establishment. As regular patrons who frequent the establishment every other weekend, my dining partner and I can attest to the unwavering quality and warm ambience that this culinary gem offers. Upon arrival, parking is effortless--often with a space directly in front. One steps into what was formerly a small flower shop, now artfully transformed into a cozy, inviting breakfast nook. The charming owner, Famous Amos, perpetually extends a warm greeting, offering guests the choice between the restaurant's interior and its delightful open patio. The interior decor strikes a perfect balance between simplicity and homeliness, with a pleasingly quiet ambient volume that averages around 68 decibels, a quiet house. This permits relaxed conversation, unmarred by the cacophonous din one encounters in less thoughtful venues. Service is predictably gracious. Usually attended to by Nina, guests are promptly offered a welcoming cup of coffee, a simple but cherished ritual that enhances the overall experience. The menu, though not exhaustive, is carefully curated, offering quintessential breakfast and lunch options executed to perfection. On this occasion, we opted for Combo #1, featuring two Grade A eggs cooked over medium, complemented by a duo of fluffy, flavor-rich buttermilk pancakes crowned with strawberries and blueberries, and accompanied by warmed syrup. A side of bacon, prepared to our exact specification, and a large ham steak cooked to perfection, rounded off this exceptional meal. A fresh slice of watermelon served as a refreshing palate cleanser. Additionally, we had two scrambled Grade A eggs, served with seasoned home fries, substituted upon request with a toasted bagel. A side of crispy bacon and another slice of fresh watermelon completed this satisfying meal. Remarkably, the total bill amounted to a very modest $35, excluding tax and tip. The value proposition here is undeniable: excellent food, personalized service, and a tranquil, homey atmosphere--all for a price that celebrates accessibility. In summary, TW Howell's is more than a mere eatery; it's a comforting sanctuary that exemplifies the highest ideals of community and culinary artistry. It offers an unmatchable breakfast experience that is both affordable and uplifting--a perfect locale for a leisurely, nourishing start to one's weekend.
We met up with my man's sister and beau on our way to A.C., per their recommendation. I adored the cutie, Amos, who wrote what Im posting on back of the menu. He floated to each table with warm and interesting conversation. My French toast was good, but not stellar. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals more than me. Idk. O.J. wasn't freshly squeezed or even Tropicana quality. Gross bathroom. I'm took a video but feel badly posting it.
Nice cozy breakfast spot. I ordered the eggs and corned-beef hash skillet. The eggs were poached perfectly, potatoes cooked just right and corned-beef was tasty. The staff was very friendly. I may make this a monthly stop. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast
