Applebee's Grill - Gallup

The food was served hot, and the service was excellent. It was a bit noisy at the bar, but not overwhelmingly so. The location is convenient, situated close to hotels and the interstate.

We encountered a cockroach at the bar while we were having lunch. We had ordered the new Whole Lotta Bacon burgers after being intrigued by their ads online, and it had been a while since we last visited this place while shopping at Walmart next door. As we enjoyed our drinks, a cockroach decided to join us on the bar. The bartender seemed indifferent and did nothing about it. The assistant manager, looking quite squeamish, eventually picked it up with a paper towel. They did comp our burgers, but we still had to pay for our drinks. Feeling frustrated, we opted to leave. Overall, the service was poor, and the food was just average. The beer taps were also out of service. While dining options are limited in Gallup, I'd advise against eating here. My friends and family often choose this place for gatherings, but once they see the picture of the roach, I hope they'll reconsider.

My experience at the restaurant was satisfactory. I was greeted and seated quickly upon arrival, and my drink order was taken and served in a timely manner. The steak was cooked medium rare, just as I requested. However, the beer selection was limited to well-known national brands that we've all seen on TV, which felt a bit uninspiring. Overall, it was a straightforward and hassle-free visit. While it wasn't particularly thrilling, it was a solid and predictable meal at a chain restaurant.

My first time trying Applebee's and I was very impressed! I had a great beer and a chicken pasta and then a small brownie dessert. Everything was delicious and the server was attentive and fast. If I am ever in the area again, I would definitely stop in again!

In Gallop on vacation and went to this Applebees in Gallop after a long day of sight seeing. This was our only choice and glad we stopped here. Pretty good for an Applebees. Not a long wait, great service and the food was good. Pleasantly surprised!!!
