This place surpassed my expectations. it is a hole in the wall, but definitiw a visit worth. cozy, friendly, funny, local, entertaining are all the words that describe the 23rd street station. we showed up immediately after the opening and it was 't long before the local began to shed and the music began to hop. the bar was well stocked and a good selection of beers was available, including some local favorites. we'll be back next time we're in galveston.
I found myself there a few times with friends on Sunday, they are closed on Monday. including a covered garden for smoker and cold nature. I hear it's a gay bar, but if so, it's the best I've ever been....Denn, this place is a soothing and entertaining atmosphere and I never felt out of place.
Drinks were very well made and delicious, fun relaxed atmosphere. love that it wasn't too loud to have good talks. we heard clay howell play and sing and he was very talented and fun to hear!
What a gem! From the front door to the back of the beautifully appointed patio, the owners of 23rd Street Station have reflected their style and flair for fun. Be sure to grab a bit before you go, because the music and drinks will flow all night long.
