The service began poorly and only got worse from there. A large, noisy group arrived, and the bartenders and waitstaff struggled to keep up. I was taken aback by a woman in a bathing suit with a cover-up that didn’t really cover much, especially considering the restaurant's dress code. Things went downhill when kids were allowed to run around our table. That was our breaking point. We paid for our drinks and decided to leave. We went to the Steak House, where we were warmly welcomed and promptly seated—even at 9:40 PM. All in all, it felt like a wasted Saturday night trying to dine at Shearns.

This restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner, a business meeting, or a holiday meal. We enjoyed watching a storm roll in from the Gulf while we ate, which was absolutely stunning. The food is excellent, and the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. I highly recommend it!

The restaurant offers an upscale dining experience, but the food was mediocre and the view was disappointing for the price. The servers tried their hardest to create a fine dining atmosphere. The lobster bisque was just average, and while the steak and shrimp special with mushrooms looked great, the flavor didn't impress—I’ve had $12 steaks that were far better.

Website indicated there was a piano lounge. This was the reason I chose the restaurant, especially knowing it was on the expensive side. There was a piano however was told the player only showed up once or twice a week with no set days! The meal was good but expensive for a small filet. Atmosphere was great however colored by lack of live music! I will not return.

Wonderful atmosphere... delicious steak. Not so impressed though with 2 tired carrots and two asparagus spears to make up the rest of the meal... seriously lacking in portions .. and husband and I asked for each a side of mashed potatoes and received one with waiter saying we were to split it... was enough for one... 200.00 later we left feeling somewhat cheated. Tired of the Galveston rip off scenarios....
