Shrimp 'n Stuff Downtown - Galveston

First time in Galveston Texas and had to experience Shrimp and Stuff. From the Oleander Hotel it was an 11 minute walk in 90° weather and I was determined to go and it was worth it. I ordered takeout seafood platter $25 and side salad $3.99 delicious. Hefty serving 1 catfish, 7 shrimp (2 wrapped in bacon and fries. The atmosphere felt family oriented. Top notch service with a smile .

Everything was amazing! The besitos (shrimp stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon), hush puppies, and fries were all exceptional. Absolutely fantastic!

It's food is THE BEST! I had the most wonderful chicken linguine, and french fries ever! On top of that, the plating, and design is magnificent. They also had great service- we rarely were waiting at all!

Visited after reading reviews and everything was great!! We were not sure what to try but everything being served to near by tables looked amazing. We tried a little of everything… shrimp linguine, Cajun pasta, seafood platters, the special had fried crab wrapped shrimp. We enjoyed frozen margaritas mixed drinks that did not disappoint. Our server was attentive, great with all meal recommendations for desserts to go…. Bread pudding key lime pie was soooo good. The servers sense of humor was appreciated by my husband at bill time. I like how the staff worked the room together checking on everyone’s needs. We were thanked for our visit as we were leaving laughing with the family next to us to not be the last ones out of the bldg, as we didn’t realize it was closed. We lost that race but the food was a win so we’ll be back our next visit to Galveston.

If you want some good food in Galveston, skip the atmosphere and go a little farther into town where you won't get ripped off like a typical tourist. I had fried shrimp and seafood gumbo. Both were great. The two teenage girls in my party had shrimp linguine and chicken linguine which looked just as good as what I was eating. They gave it a thumbs up. My wife had some kind of a stacked salad which looked fantastic. Best place we ate in Galveston.
