The Tremont House - Galveston

I really appreciate the hardwood floors, and the valet staff is very friendly. The front desk team is also quite helpful. It was interesting to see the old keys displayed behind the front desk; they added a nice historical touch to the atmosphere. Overall, I would rate the rooms a perfect 5 out of 5.

I booked a pre-cruise room and the cruise package was fantastic. It included valet parking and transfers, and I couldn't have asked for better service. Check-in was a breeze, and our bellman, Jerome, was incredibly helpful. He even explained why the address didn't work in our GPS—it's Tremont St., not 2300 Ship Mechanics Row. I dined at the restaurant and the food was excellent, as was the staff. I've stayed here twice and will be returning in July.

This historic hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Galveston Island, just a few blocks from the Strand, where you'll find plenty of entertainment and attractions. The elegant piano bar in the lobby offers a jazzy, bluesy ambiance that transports you to a more relaxed time. It's a quaint, intimate space perfect for snuggling up with that special someone while enjoying expertly crafted drinks. We particularly love coming here to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

My mom and I are heading out tomorrow on a cruise. I selected The Tremont because of its proximity to the pier. Upon arrival, we were greeted very warmly by a very nice gentleman named Jerome. Jerome loaded our bags onto the trolley and waited for us to check in. Once checked in, he accompanied my mother and I to our room. Jerome was very helpful, professional, and kind. He not only brought our bags into the room and placed them in a location of our choice, he showed us where each item in the room was (refrigerator, coffee maker, closet, etc). If you are staying at The Tremont anytime soon, you’ll look forward to meeting Jerome.Rooms: Our room at The Tremont was very well appointed. The feel was luxurious. Our view was facing the strand and each window had gorgeous shutters. The high ceilings and lighting really added to the rich and cozy feeling.Walkability: The hotel is within walking distance to the strand, various bars restaurants, and even to the pier if you’re going cruising.

The double queen suite was amazing. The beds were so comfortable. The major props goes out to Jerome. What a lovely and kind human being you have on staff. Can’t say enough about how wonderful he was.Rooms: 5/5
