I wanted to give them a good review. I love Indian food, but the menu is very limited and differs from any Indian restaurant I have eaten in houston. the huh marsala seemed like processed cut chicken instead of fresh pieces. the soße was just fair and everything else than we were told. the meat was ok tasting, but not again what I expected. the lenses were decent, but again much different and larger than I like with less sauce. daal is in the usually different tasting. they did not have the spinach dish on the menu, it was not a deep menu like most Indian menus that have much to choose. I don't think I'm going back. I liked the relaxing music!
Zaza is a local gem. a fantastic fusion of Indians with local and southwest influences. the owner is passionate about his baby and shows his enthusiasm. this should be a more regular for all who visit galveston.
We tried this during the restaurant week specials, and it was a beautiful surprise. the food was excellent, and the worth is good, also to regular trips. even if the restaurant was not full, a conversation between a patron and the bartender could be heard from all, so it is probably not good for a romantic date night.
This was indian fusion. Mostly it consisted of prepared ingredients put together by staff who don't understand Indian food. Avoid.
