Moran's Oyster Cottage - Galway

Beautiful complex, well maintained ambience, high price

Really nice restaurant with a cute location overlooking the water. Seafood chowder was delicious, and the rest of the dishes were tasty as well. Good portions. Staff was quick and attentive. And this is where i had my first pint of Guinness in Ireland!

Imagine an old Cottage on the banks of a river. Fantastic local oysters, fresh fish and other dishes of Irish cuisine performed excellently. All in a very welcoming environment with a beautiful atmosphere. Before and/or after dinner, enjoy a drink in the bar or in the dehor on the river. Moran's is one of the best addresses around Galway. Definitely recommended. Good quality/price.

Doesn't really do justice to the hype. The service was probably the worst in Ireland and so our lunch lasted over 2 hours. The audience here is very old and the food is fresh, but also not quite stunning. The oysters are great. tasty, but could be served with a little more goodies at the price. Maybe the expectations were too high, but I guess I wouldn't do the detour anymore.

We had a quick business lunch here on Tuesday absolutely fantastic beautiful fresh fish and brilliant service. Will definitely be back it's a gem
