I read about Holy Food Market in a NYT 36 Hours piece on Gent. It was our first stop upon arrival for our day trip. The concept of a food market in an old church is pretty cool. There's a main bar in the center and a handful of restaurant concepts on the sides. After taking a lap, I decided to go for the pizza while my husband opted for some croquettes. My pizza was delicious and I washed it down with a couple beverages at the bar. I was happy to see they had plenty of options including some non alcoholic choices. One thing I did not like was that the bartender used her bare hands to grab ice for drinks. Staff should definitely be better educated on why that's not acceptable. Overall, cool place to check out while in Gent and great for a group as well.
The place look amazing and the potential is massive. Unfortunately food is not at the same level.
Very nice venue with nice variety of food. Pricy, but definitely worth the visite.
Food quality is not like the start up, less quality and ages patience when you order a drink at the bar! Feels like every bod want to survive there who has a business!
