We have ordered Ox Carpaccio with Parmesan cheese and lamb's lettuce with truffle oil. Simply AMAZING. Then Goat Cheese Salad with honey, mustard and dried fruit vinaigrette... Brutal, just look at the photos. And to finish off Crispy aubergines with cane honey and sesame. SPECTACULAR. I only recommend that if you come to the Prado de Gandía, if you want to enjoy eating, come here. There are many more options but we leave satisfied and full. I don't know what they mean by a small amount when we have seen a plate of broken eggs with ham go by and when it seemed like a lot to me they told us it was for two people. Try and when you try, give your opinion.
Ate lunch at this restaurant in the Plaza de Prado today and we were very impressed. The service was excellent and the food tasty and beautifully presented. Menu del Dia €18, less on a weekday. 3 starters to share began with a warm goat's cheese salad which included pine nuts, walnuts and sultanas, the dressing was light but with a hint of mustard, delicious. Followed by piquillo peppers stuffed with monkfish and large pieces of prawn. Then came very tender calamari in a light tomato based sauce. The main course was a choice of pork fillet, sepia a la plancha (grilled cuttle fish) or sepia Andaluza i.e. fried in strips served with good French fries. Dessert was a choice of home made cheesecake with fresh apricot puree or chocolate tart. Both very good. A large glass of good red house wine was €2. Excellent value, highly recommended. We sat outside but the interior was very modern, a black and white theme with what looked like a lot of paintings by a local artist.
The only reason I ate at this restaurant is the waiting cube last night, when I saw many people in the waiting cube that gave me a illusion, it must be good, but it turns out it is quite pricy in term of the quality of food, if the price was 15 percent less I think it will be a good choice.
