Scotty's - GANSEVOORT

The cheese fries were amazing! The burger was delicious too! I wasn't a fan of the cottage cheese, but the chicken fingers were good. The waitress was kind and friendly, and the restaurant always appears to be clean.

Food prices were high portions small. Eggs were overed cooked Hash Browns were soaked in grease all greasy. Charge $3.99 for soda was told by waitress if I filled my cup up they would be charging me extra. Waitress didn't have to do that it was her discretion. Bacon was good. I will not be back. Scotty's is owned by the same people that own the convenience store it is connected to. Store doesn't have fountain drinks was told restaurant did to go over there.

Diner atmosphere. Quick, friendly service. Bathrooms very clean. Breakfast and lunch portions were small but adequate. Love that the breakfast food was not greasy! Food was pricey for a basic sandwich and a small breakfast. Nearly $8 for two sodas. The turkey sandwich did not come with anything except a pickle spear. Was an extra $5.49 for a tiny side dish of macaroni salad that had a ton of mustard in it.

The food was decent for a truck stop, and the service was satisfactory. However, the atmosphere felt a bit chaotic, with occasional confusion about what had been completed. Overall, I would consider stopping there again for a quick meal.

We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food, the prompt and attentive service, and the cleanliness of the restaurant. The prices were also very reasonable. The only downside was the lackluster roadside atmosphere, which felt out of place given the excellent food, and there were a few questionable patrons while we were dining.
