Applebee's Grill - Garden City

We went to this restaurant tonight for a fun date night out, choosing to sit on the patio. It turned out to be not the best decision as all the staff seemed preoccupied inside. Our waiter appeared to be overwhelmed.

We have been frequenting this restaurant for some time now and have always enjoyed our meals. Unfortunately, after our visit tonight, we were left feeling saddened and disappointed by the quality of the battered fries.

The service at this restaurant was strange. When we arrived, we were told that they were out of many items. The ambiance gave off the feeling of an IHOP that someone tried to turn into a man cave. We were really hoping for...

The steak was cooked to perfection and served with garlic carrots and steamed broccoli. Javier did a fantastic job preparing my meal. I can't remember my waiter's name, but she provided excellent service. It's been years since I last dined at Applebee's, but that will change after tonight. Thank you for the hospitality and service. I will definitely be back!

The dining experience was satisfactory until a power outage occurred just as we were finishing our meal due to a steel hitting a power line outside. We had to wait for the staff to figure out what to do with our bill. The employees were apologetic and told us they needed to wait for the manager to arrive. After 30 minutes, a plan was finally put in place to resolve the situation. However, when the computers came back on, they were not functioning properly which caused a further delay. After waiting for 45 minutes after finishing our meal, we noticed only one employee working in the parking lot. We asked our waitress about the delay and were told that the computers were still not working and they needed to speak with the manager. Despite already having a plan in place, the situation was not resolved quickly. Feeling frustrated, our group of 7 decided to leave (after paying) and both the waiter and manager admitted that the delays were unnecessary.
