Good for old Vietnamese men, slow music, expensive drinks, not great service, good for keeping to yourself and your male friends.
Came here on a Sunday afternoon, April 3, 2011. Stop #4 of 6 (Coffee Shop Tour II Sight: Not your typical Viet cafe the place is veryyy well lit, the furniture are wooden, and there was only one girl serving at the time. On top of that, I remember well the other patrons. Two sat on the stools at the L shaped bar where the register was toward the back, chatting it up with the 2 ladies (one worked the register, maybe the owner; the other a server . One older dude (probably early 30s was with his kid, playing on one of the game machines... In case you 're worried about his parenting, the girl working here was dressed normally, not in a thong. Hear: Trance/dance music, and some Viet music Taste: Iced coffee with condensed milk was bitter, and less sweet than the ones at Cafe Dang and Cafe De Thuong. Strong stuff. Like with DZ Cafe, there are two main reasons I am a fan of this place. First, like DZ, I was greeted with a hey handsome in Vietnamese. I guess I like my ego stroked, esp in my mother language. The second reason differs from DZ the one girl that did work here was very sweet, and a pleasure to chat with. She offered to grab us a pack of cards to play, and sat down to socialize for a little. She was pretty, and well spoken. It was a unique experience from the other Viet cafes I went to seems like their marketing focused more on creating a relaxing atmosphere with friendly banter, than satisfying more carnal pleasures. The particular girl 's name was Candice, and you should stop by to say hi p.s. you can find parking more readily in back. And coffees were $4.
This is a new coffee shop in Garden Grove located near Westminster and Brookhurst in Garden Grove (near Com Tam Thuan Kieu). I just attended the grand opening and this seems like a chill place to hangout with friends. There are plenty of LCDs all around and they play Vietnamese, 80's and a little trance. Definitely check this place out if you are nearby!
Very festive! Fun loving crowd. The artist steak is extremely flavorful but expensive ! Will definitely return for other signature dishes!
