El Pollo Loco - Garden Grove

Today, June 3, 2022 at 1:05 pm, I showed up to pick up my order from this location . I saw there?s a long line on the drive- thru, so wanted to go into the dining area. The main door is closed; inside is dark, chairs are upside down, so I assumed I gotta pick up the order through the window . So , went into the drive-thru long line waiting. There I noticed that the restaurant?s small side door is open !!! Oh, God please it?s the lunch time you idiots!!! Why would you think you have all the right to close whatever door you please and run the business as you will and treat customers as wish?!!!

Visited this location about 5 times so far and it really is really hit and miss. One day you get perfectly grilled chicken which is delicious, and another day you get burned chicken which is dry and hard. Not sure if it's the cook working that day or maybe they just don't have a good process to cook their chicken properly. Doesn't seem to matter what time of day you visit, the chicken is hit and miss for some reason. I think I'm going to avoid this location until the manager fixes this problem.

Just picked up the saddest 2 meat combo I?ve ever seen. The chicken is so overdone, shriveled up and dry, that it?s actually comical. I called to let them know, and surprise, the voicemail is full and it auto hangs up on you. You?re killing it Pollo Loco!

What's wrong with this place? We order the 2 pieces of meal and 2 tacos, then the worker asked if we wanted chip and salsa, we said yes. Didn't know they charged us $5 extra. Good. But guess after we were gone, there were no chips, no salsa, no sauce, no napkins, no utensils. Our mistake not to check, but if you want to steal from customers, then it's really not okay.

Ordered the newer Birria tacos 2 for $8+. While the taste is great, I held them.up to the light and a couple- few blank/empty spots in each one!!! AND they were wafer thin!!! If I wanted tacos with little to no meat, Jack in the Box would have sufficed!!! REALLY unhappy with that purchase!!! Wish I had taken pics to share.
