Feedback gevenI strongly discourage anyone from dining at this establishment. My friends and I visited on Saturday and ordered the halibut combo. Unfortunately, the uni bap had a foul smell, the oysters were definitely not fresh, and the halibut was merely passable. It quickly became clear that this restaurant is far from commendable. To make matters worse, we ended up suffering from food poisoning, likely due to norovirus contracted from our meal. When I reached out to the restaurant to explain our situation and request a refund, the owner's response was shocking. Instead of expressing any concern or offering an apology, he simply said they couldn't provide a refund and advised us to seek medical attention so their insurance could address our problem. What a disappointing and alarming experience!
I arrived at around 4:40 PM and placed a to-go order. This charming little restaurant had a lovely interior decor. The owners, who are a sweet elderly couple, were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We ordered three uni bowls and then decided to go back for a fourth—they were that good! The uni was extremely fresh and had a wonderfully sweet and delicate flavor, with no fishiness whatsoever. Overall, I would give this place an 11 out of 10! Additionally, the service was impressively fast; our orders were ready in just 10 to 20 minutes!
WARNING: FOOD POISONING FROM NOROVIRUS! I strongly advise against dining at this restaurant. My friends and I had dinner there on Saturday and ordered the halibut combo. The uni bap had a bad smell, and the oysters were definitely not fresh. The halibut was just mediocre. We quickly realized that this restaurant was not a good choice. Unfortunately, we ended up experiencing food poisoning or norovirus after our meal. I called the restaurant to explain our situation and requested a refund. The owner’s response was shocking – he told me that they couldn’t issue a refund and suggested that I go to the emergency room or see a doctor so that their insurance could cover it. He didn’t even apologize. Unbelievable.
Overall food is just okay. Not the best and not the worst. However, the customer service from the server is the WORST ever. She would never listen to the requests and had to repeat the request over and over. Most of the time she would ignore you although you can tell that she heard us calling her. Found a hair in the food and brought it up to her and just took it away from the table and walked away without saying anything. Few minutes later, she comes back with a new one and slams it on the table and walks away, although we told her that we didn't want it. She was one of the worst server ever that I have dealt with and she really shouldn't be on the floor dealing with the customer. I am so embarrassed to the people that I have invited to this place and will never ever go back again. This was a horrible dining experience.
I highly recommend this restaurant- sashimi combo -course meal-in person dine in. Fresh food, many side dishes, great price, great customer service! Thank you Kansai team!
